The Milwaukee Bucks made the move of the summer when they signed disgruntled star, Damian Lillard. The Bucks came out of nowhere to swoop the 33-year-old. This made the Bucks an instant odds-on favorite to win the NBA title. The Bucks begin their NBA preseason against the Chicago Bulls and the fans can’t wait to see Dame and Giannis play together for the first time.

But the Bulls might possess one of the very few players who can guard Damian Lillard. Last season, Jevon Carter played for the Bucks and he would be raring to go up against his former employers.

Who is Jevon Carter?

Born on September 14th, 1995, in Maywood, Illinois, Jevon Carter has gained a reputation for being a relentless defensive presence and a hard-working player. He perfected his skills during a successful college career at West Virginia University, becoming one of the country’s top defensive guards. Carter’s remarkable defensive prowess earned him the nickname “The Pitbull”. In 2018, the Memphis Grizzlies selected him in the NBA Draft.

Throughout his NBA career, the 28YO Carter has continued to showcase his defensive abilities. He has also had stints with the Phoenix Suns and the Brooklyn Nets, where he contributed to the team’s playoff runs. Carter also suited up for the Milwaukee Bucks for the past two seasons, as he became an integral rotation player on the dominant Bucks.

Carter had a career night against the OKC Thunder in which he scored 36 points and dished out 12 assists. He attempted 7 three pointers in that game out of which 5 were successful. Even after proving himself on the biggest stage, the Bucks did not offer him a new deal. In the offseason, Jevon agreed to a three-year contract worth $19.5 million dollars with the Chicago Bulls.

Carter to visit his old teammates

The NBA preseason is going to serve us with a juicy encounter between the Bucks and the Bulls. As Jevon Carter looks to beat his old teammates. The Bucks are obviously the favorites, as they look to hand out minutes to Giannis and Dame to build fitness and chemistry.

But the Bulls have Jevon Carter, one of the very few players that can slow down Dame. The 28-year-old point guard has a reputation for tirelessly hounding superstar guards. He is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league right now. And if the Bulls want to compete for a playoff spot, then Carter’s skill and talent will come in handy. If given a more prominent role in the team, Carter could have a break-out year. Carter has shown on multiple occasions that he can ball out if given an opportunity.
