Institutions often get a shout-out from their alumni. Be it for sports events or milestone events, alumni often owe gratitude to the institutions that made them, and hence do a lot for their overall publicity. In most cases, seeing these famous graduates from their educational institutions makes the current students more motivated to do better.

Today, the players of Davidson Wildcats, the basketball team of Davidson College, North Carolina, got a special message from Stephen Curry. The Warriors point guard played for the team from 2006 to 2009.

Curry took to his X account to post a shout-out to his college team as they begin their season this year. He said, “I cannot wait to see y’all come together as a team. Embrace the role, embrace the value that you all bring to the team. I want y’all to realize your full potential this year.

He also hoped that they would go all the way to the A-10 (Atlantic 10 Conference). He asked them to always remember to TCC. It stands for “Trust, Commitment, Care” and is the motto of the Davidson College Basketball team.

It is also interesting to note that Curry has tattooed the motto “TCC” on his wrist. Taking about it, he told NBC Sports Bay Area, “The first one I got is the one on my wrist from when I was at Davidson. Myself and five of my teammates, we got it and it says ‘TCC’ which stands for Trust, Commitment, Care, that was the mantra that our coach Bob McKillop preached every single day from the time he showed up to Davidson to now, 28 years later.”
