After being eliminated at the hands of the Denver Nuggets in the Western Conference Finals, LeBron James’ post-game press conference managed to send shockwaves in the NBA community. Fans were quick to assume that The King might finally hang his sneakers for good.

However, given that James is still under contract with the Los Angeles Lakers, fans will most likely be seeing him for another year or so. But that does not mean that the 19-time All-Star cannot daydream about the things he would want to do when he finally does retire from the league. James’ recent fan reply gave away his plans.
The fan’s tweet read, “I wanna do a cross country Summer road trip and eat at random local foodie spots.”
To that, James replied, “Man the wife and I been talking about this idea for quite awhile now! Probably save it for post career but definitely!! I feel you bro.”

So, by the looks of it, LBJ may be looking forward to his retirement after all, given how much he has put in during the last 20 years in the league.

James is not planning on retiring
Many say that the telling tweet does not suggest that LeBron James is looking to retire or is planning his walk away from the court.
Moreover, James has often stated that he wants to share the court with his son Bronny James who may be coming into the league in the 2025 NBA draft.
