Despite stunting as the?third splash brother?for Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson, Jordan Poole is packed to spend his coming season with the Washington Wizards. Spending his first four years with the Dubsnation, Jordan Poole saw himself traded to the Wizards after the 2023 playoffs. He was part of a blockbuster deal for the Golden State Warriors?as they acquired veteran Chris Paul. Warriors now have a formidable multi-unit roster, which they claimed to lack in their recent playoff run. During Poole’s time with Golden State, he became a champion as a member of their 2022 roster.

Throughout the 2022-23 NBA season, Poole’s tenure with Golden State came under the radar. Especially after a scuffle with Draymond Green during their training camp the previous summer. At certain times, even Warriors veterans expressed displeasure with his conduct, especially on the court.

Now, it seems that Poole wants to put his time with the Warriors behind him. He has decided to remove all traces of his tenure with the franchise from his Instagram account. This is one video of him practicing. There are several more images and videos that users can see that have no inclination to Poole ever being a part of the Dubs.?

If a stranger to the game or fresh basketball enthusiast were to look at his profile, it’d be nearly impossible to know that he previously played for the Dubs. Even though Poole is still following?Klay Thomspon, Stephen Curry, and others from the Warrior squad, his posts don’t reflect anything from his past tenure.

Poole played near to 50 games on average in his first 2 years with GSW. In his last 2 years, he had played more than 75 games, with 82 games in the recent stint. He was undoubtedly an integral part of the Warriors. From averaging just 8.8 points in the first year, he transcended to averaging 20.4 points last year.?

Jordan Poole and Washington Wizards

Poole’s exit from the Warriors might have been messy, but he finds himself in an ideal situation. He can finally be the lead guard for a franchise that will allow him the freedom to grow his game while learning from his mistakes. Unlike when he played for a contending Golden State along with Steph, he will face less pressure playing on a younger team that has just hit the reset button.

Despite being a part of the roster that does not comprise?Stephen Curry. being sent to the Wizards provides Poole with an opportunity to establish himself as one of the team’s star players. Washington entered a rebuilding phase this summer, and they may look to build around the duo of Poole and Kyle Kuzma moving forward.
