There has been turmoil in the minds of NBA fans since the lack of recent additions to the Miami Heat. Well, the team has been well under the spotlight this entire off-season. Once again, it?s about trade requests, and from none other than one Damian Lillard.

The former Weber State Wildcat would have made the Heat a superb roster with virtually no weaknesses and might have guaranteed a title win. However, the player couldn?t be traded to the franchise, and Pat Riley is making some bold statements. The spotlight is now on Tyler Herro.

No franchise would appear to be an imposter in the headlines, but Pat Riley and Co. took a chance. The story dates back to the beginning of this year?s summer. Bradley Beal, Damian Lillard, and Jrue Holiday were all displayed on the shelf, and then the team chose to acquire no one.

This is what the franchise did. Despite being linked in media reports to all three, the team decided to stick with the already-formed team and train Tyler Herro for a better role.

When asked about it, Riley said: ?From my perspective and the ownership perspective and all the internal people with the Heat, we like our team.? These revelations were made to the South Florida Sun-Sentinel.

Riley is entering his 29th season as the president of this franchise, so trusting him on this choice might be better. However, the allegations and hatred from the fans seem to hold no ground because the Miami Heat did make an effort to get all 3.

Beal had a no-trade clause; with Lillard, there was a refusal by the Portland Trail Blazers; and with Holiday, the internal committee took a step back. But how come Tyler is better than any trade?

The Miami Heat is now a possibly weaker team, but somehow the coach is still confident for a win. In an interview with Tim Reynolds of the Associated Press, Riley unfolded the trade discussion on Damian Lillard and trading Tyler in return.

After establishing his name as the NBA?s 2022 Sixth Man of the Year and averaging more than 20 points each of the past two seasons, his career doesn?t seem great. While moving towards a career as the third option on the Heat, he is now swamped with heavy responsibility.

In this situation, Riley said, ?The fact that Tyler has been involved in these discussions, he almost should wear that as a badge of honor.? No matter what the rumors are, it?s a fact that the Heat hasn?t traded Tyler for anyone. However, the question remains: is he capable of snatching a win for the team?
