There has been a lot of noise around Zion Williamson‘s name in recent years. Although most of it has been for the wrong reasons, the 23-year-old seems to be turning things around for the good now. Other than his recent physical transformation, Williamson is also winning back the trust of his teammates.

Recently, his New Orleans Pelicans teammate spoke highly of the young star. This will be a massive feat for Williamson because the 32-year-old has been very critical of him in the past. Impressed by the adjustments that Williamson has made in his game and attitude, his teammate CJ McCollum listed out the positive elements in their camp going into a new season.

Williamson has been touted to be a fine young talent since the beginning. In the 2019 draft, he was the first-round first overall pick by the Pelicans. Although they had big plans with a big man joining their roster, the reality fell short of their expectations. In his first four years, Williamson only played 114 games. This was mainly due to his injuries and soon enough, his health, fitness, and being overweight were brought into question. After years of being mocked by fans and veterans alike, the 23-year-old shocked everyone with an insane physical transformation.

Other than his physical issues, Williamson’s attitude with the team was another point of concern for the club. However, he seems to have gotten a hold of it too, as per his teammate McCollum. The 32-year-old was recently in a conversation with Hoops Hype where he was asked about his opinion on Williamson’s offseason improvements. He said, “His?approach, his maturity?level.?Everything?seems?to?be?higher”.

More importantly, McCollum said that after a disappointing last season, “We?were?not?happy”, however, with the Pelicans squad looking lethal for a new outing, he is confident of turning things around.
