With the NBA preseason happening in full swing, the defending champions decided to take a unique route. The Denver Nuggets‘ players swapped roles with their coaching staff for a scrimmage ahead of a new season. It resulted in a delight as two teams coached by Nikola Jokic and Jamal Murray, amongst others, went against each other.
The joyfulness of the game was fully on display on that occasion. This matchup got the crowd excited as the stars of the franchise were involved in an interesting matchup.

The Nuggets divided the roster into two teams for the scrimmage on their home court. Jokic and Aaron Gordon led the ‘Blue Team’, while Murray and Kentavious Caldwell-Pope coached the ‘White Team’. They played against each other as the organization released a clip, capturing the entire moment from the preparations.

It soon became too competitive as the guest coaches let their emotions take over. The veteran DeAndre Jordan was witnessing the happenings from outside of the court as he added his remarks later on. “Nikola and Aaron for me,” the 35-year-old stated to pick his favorite as he added, “I’m going with the bigs”.
The hype remained till the end of the match as Team Blue entered a timeout with a 25-24 lead. With both the coaching units drawing up plays for their players, the crowd patiently waited for the outcome. The buildup to the end paid off as it all came down toward the last few sequences of the game.
Jamal had the last laugh as his team scored from a dunk right before the time nearly ran out. Team White registered the win as the crowd cheered the efforts of the athletes.

Can this result in something fruitful?
The change from the coaches might be a test to their stars. They were probably attempting to test the perseverance and leadership skills of the leading figures in the dressing room.
All the icons played their parts well, with the audience getting involved in the process. As they entered the season to defend the title, the management thought of the necessity of the act beforehand.
