The Phoenix Suns went head-to-head against the Dallas Mavericks in their first game following the All-Star break. Fans in Dallas were excited about the highly anticipated clash between the two elite teams. But one Mavs fan took things a bit too far. While Kevin Durant was heading to the court for his pre-game warmup, a Mavs fan called him a “bit*h” from the sidelines. KD stopped in his tracks and turned around to confront the fan.

The fan, accompanied by another male, quickly changed her demeanor and started asking Durant for a handshake. The couple then tried to talk their way out of the confrontation and started making excuses. The Phoenix Suns superstar turned around and proceeded to the court. After the incident, the security decided to escort the fans out of the arena.

However, the Slim Reaper came to the fans’ rescue and stopped security from kicking them out. Despite getting abused by the fan, the 2-time Champion saved them from massive embarrassment. However, KD gave the couple a stern warning before heading back to the court.

While Durant kept his cool during the confrontation with the heckling fans, he vented out his frustration on the court with his performance. KD led the Suns to a 63-60 lead over the Mavs at half-time. He scored 12 points in the half and looked in great form.

Kevin Durant does not shy away from confronting fans

Most NBA superstars choose to ignore hecklers and abusive fans while they are playing on the road. But Kevin Durant is not one of those superstars. KD is famous for speaking his mind with the fans on the court and social media. Tonight was not the first time The Slim Reaper has confronted fans for heckling him on the court.

Durant did the same when he played for the Golden State Warriors in 2018. During a heated game, KD went to the sidelines and told a fan, “Watch the fu*king game and shut the fu*k up.” The NBA penalized KD with a $25,000 fine for cursing at a fan.

However, he would do it again in Brooklyn while playing for the Nets. When a fan asked KD to “take the game over”, the 2-time Champion responded, “You gotta shut the fu*k up.” KD has even admitted to having a burner account on X to respond to the critics online.
