Basketball is not for the light-hearted or slow-footed. Hesitate for a second and you will find yourself kissing the ground. Just ask Issac Okoro. The Cleveland Cavaliers played against the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight. The 22-year-old found himself at the receiving end of a devastating blow. ?
The match-off included many instances of impressive gameplay. But there was an instance that left a bad taste for everybody. In the 11th minute of the third quarter, OKC forward Chet Holmgren, stomped on the Cavaliers? forward. And what the referee did after that, upset many.

OKC was leading by 10 points with 52-42 on the scoreboard. Holmgren made one of the two free throws giving an 11-point lead at the end of the minute. While this was a clear foul from Chet?s end, the free throws were not what people expected.?

As the game moved into the next quarter, the Thunder still maintained their lead. They wrapped the show with 108 against the Cavaliers? close 105.?
A breakdown of the game
Making his NBA debut, Chet played an impressive game. With this being only his second game, he scored 16 points, 13 rebounds and seven blocks setting the record for most blocks by a rookie in the franchise.

Chet is being praised by many as the defensive machine of the OKC. And he is in strong contention for the Rookie of the Year award. His impressive performance along with great play by Shai Gilgeous-Alexander (34 points, 11 rebounds) and Luguentz Dort (25 points, 6 rebounds), ensured that OKC could comfortably win.

But that does not mean the Cavaliers did not put up a fight. Donovan Mitchell, playing 42 minutes, scored 43 points with 8 rebounds. He was assisted by Evan Mobley (14 points, 15 rebounds) and Issac Okoro, when he was not being stomped.?
Oklahoma have now won both their games and are set on their campaign to win the title. With excellent performances from the players and even the rookie, fans are hoping that the team will finally get the taste of sweet victory.?
