The Golden State Warriors suffered a devastating blow early in tonight’s game against the Orlando Magic. Their star Forward, Draymond Green, got ejected just 4 minutes into the first quarter for chirping at official Ray Acosta. Draymond’s ejection left his teammate Stephen Curry teary-eyed and shaking his head in disappointment, leading to speculations of a secret beef between the two stars. However, the Warriors were able to turn things around and blew out the Magic 101-93.

The Warriors’ impressive road win also put an end to Steph and Draymond’s secret beef as the duo shared a wholesome moment after the game. Stephen Curry dapped up and hugged Draymond on his way to the locker room after the win. Steph was visibly hyped after the victory as he yelled in excitement before entering the locker room. Draymond also appreciated Steph’s greatness by mimicking his iconic ‘Night Night’ celebration after the big win.

Draymond lost control of his emotions during the game, which led to his early ejection. He played only 4 minutes and went scoreless before getting tossed from the game. Following Draymond and Steph’s locker room interaction, Dub Nation will sure be happy to see their two stars back in harmony despite Green’s antics.

However, Draymond needs to understand how important his availability is for the Warriors’ success at this stage of the season. After the game, Steph addressed Green’s ejection and revealed why it made him emotional, “All I’ll say is we need him. He knows that. We all know that. So, whatever it takes for him to be on the floor and available, that’s what’s gotta happen.”

Essential for Draymond Green to keep emotions in check

Even though Steph and Draymond settled their differences after the game, Green’s on-court antics visibly affected Steph. The Warriors are fighting to stay in the playoff race, and every game holds great importance. The team cannot afford to shoot itself in the foot through unnecessary fouls and ejections. Stephen Curry and Co. are currently seeded 10th in the Western Conference, and one mistake can get them out of the play-in tournament.

The Warriors are 11-14 without Draymond this season and 27-20 with him. That shows the forward’s importance for the team’s success. Draymond’s antics have already put the Warriors in a difficult situation earlier in the season, and they cannot afford to go through it again. With only 10 games remaining in the regular season and the Rockets threatening to take their spot, Draymond needs to be extra careful for the rest of the season.
