NBA was a lot different back in 2014. The Golden State Warriors were not the four-time Champion dynasty, and it was just before Stephen Curry won MVP. At the same time, the LA Clippers were in their “Lob City” era. The regular season fans caught a glimpse of how powerful the emerging Warriors would be as they were the sixth seed in the Western Conference. On the other hand, the Clippers were the number 2 seed in the west.
This resulted in the match-up between the Clippers and the Dubs in the first round of the playoffs. However, morale wasn’t high as the Clippers were in the midst of a scandal. The words of an assistant coach in the Clippers triggered the incident that happened in the locker room and Chef. “One of y’all assistant coaches was yelling down the hall talking crazy,”?the former Finals MVP said to Barnes.
