The Golden State Warriors are in a state of disarray without their talisman, Stephen Curry. He was ruled out due to right knee soreness in what was the Warriors’ fourth straight loss. In their recent defeat to the Minnesota Timberwolves, Draymond Green and Klay Thompson were ejected before the team even scored a point. The altercation proved costly for the already shorthanded Warriors, who were swept in a 104-101 loss. As a result of the scuffle, the league handed Green a hefty five-game suspension with his ?history of unsportsmanlike acts? in mind.

Therefore, without their defensive anchor, the Warriors will need all the cards in the deck as they face the Oklahoma City Thunder later tonight. The Dubs will have their hands full as they host the OKC, who will be looking to stay hot after winning two consecutive games. Will Stephen Curry return tonight to help the Warriors break their losing streak?

Stephen Curry has been an unstoppable offensive force this season, consistently mustering an average of 32 points in the team’s six wins. However, the prolific point guard sustained an injury during the second half of the Sunday’s game after landing awkwardly on his right knee. He underwent an MRI scan later which, fortunately for Dubnation, did not reveal any structural damage. However, he will be sidelined for their next matchup against OKC. He will be re-evaluated again, and we might get an update “at some point later this week.”

With both Green and Curry missing from the lineup, a win against OKC will be an uphill challenge for the shorthanded Warriors. The win will be even more difficult to come by since the Thunders will be fielding a healthy roster. Not to mention, they will enter the contest fueled by their 139-141 loss to the Warriors in the in-season tournament.

Predicted starting lineup for the Golden State Warriors

The Warriors’ offense has been struggling early in the season. Only three players in the squad have hit the 20-point mark. Although Chris Paul has been a solid addition and is effectively leading the second unit, his offensive production is not up to the mark. He is averaging a career-low 8.8 points, with just one point in their last win against OKC in 28 minutes. Andrew Wiggins has also gone ice-cold this season, averaging just 10.4 points.
