In his latest Instagram story, Draymond agreed with a fan who posted that Kevon Looney’s jersey should be retired by the Warriors after his career is over. According to the fan, Looney has accomplished more in 8 seasons with the Warriors than what Nick Collison accomplished playing his entire career with the Oklahoma City Thunder. Nick Collison is a former NBA player whose No.4 jersey was the first to be retired by the Thunder in 2019.

Nick Collison played his entire NBA career with OKC and was a role player for the team. He and Russell Westbrook were the only two players to be a part of the Thunder franchise for the first 10 years. But Collison was never a major contributor to the Thunder team. Draymond agreed with the post, which stated that Collison had his jersey retired by simply playing for one team his entire career.

Looney played a big role in the Warriors? 2018 and 2022 championship runs and proved to be a decent contributor off the bench. In the 2023 playoffs, Looney posted the best playoff numbers of his young career, averaging 6.5 points, 13.1 rebounds, and 3.3 assists per game. He matched up with NBA all-stars Anthony Davis and Domantas Sabonis and out-rebounded them on multiple occasions. Earlier this year, Looney resigned with the Warriors on a 3-year, $22.5 million contract, which means that he has no plans of parting ways with the Dub nation anytime soon.
