Despite the NBA preseason being kick-started, NBA world is still going through massive changes. There’s a lot of movement not just on the court, but off-court too. Philadelphia 76ers are at the center of a potential blockbuster transaction featuring James Harden. However, as ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski explains, the 76ers’ goal isn’t just to acquire assets. It’s to also use those assets to acquire another All-Star-level guard. Their idea is simple: Replace James Harden and continue their quest for an NBA title with Joel Embiid.
And in a shocking turn of events, James Harden made a new revelation today. He made some comments about his team, the 76ers and after a long time, they are positive.

Throughout his career, James Harden, a 10-time All-Star and past MVP, has been a productive scorer and playmaker. His ability to dominate the league in scoring and average double-digit assists has made him one of the NBA’s most sought-after players. However, when the deal looks so good, there is always something that does not feel right. And in Harden’s case, it is his attitude and his loud mouth that have gotten him into trouble most of the time.
After bad-mouthing the president of operations of his team by calling him ‘a liar’ publically, Harden finally spoke something positive about his team.
In an interview when they asked him about his situation, Harden expressed, “I appreciate the support and love. I mean, it’s a difficult time. But for me, it’s just trusting people that you have known for a decade, and when I got traded here, my whole thing was to retire a sixer. And the front office didn’t have that in their future plans”.

He continues, “so it is literally out of my control. Some of it I didn’t want it to happen and to be in this position. But I gotta make a decision for my family and understand it’s a business. So it’s just as simple as that. I’m doing this necessary as a professional as I would and been doing for 15 years.” After Harden saying all this, do you think Morey will change his mind about Harden’s trade?
Daryl Morey’s plan of action for Harden
The 76ers’ President of Basketball Operations, Daryl Morey, presents a complicated challenge. His aim isn’t just to make a deal; it’s about making sure Philadelphia remains a legitimate contender in the league. The clock is ticking, and the 76ers want to win now, with Joel Embiid in his prime. While the purpose is evident, the question remains as to who that All-Star-level guard will be and when this deal will take place.

According to Wojnarowski, the timing of such a monumental move is not optimal. The preseason and training camp has already started, making it difficult to find available athletes who match the bill.
While the 76ers are eager to secure their future, the trade market has high asking prices at this time of year. All-Star players are in high demand, and teams are hesitant to part with such important assets. Negotiations are likely to be difficult, and the 76ers will need to bring their A-game in order to make a deal that aligns with their goals. The Los Angeles Clippers have yet to make a deal for James Harden, but it appears that they may be looking for new ways to acquire him.
