The San Antonio Spurs faced a crushing 132-119 defeat at the hands of the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night. Despite Keldon Johnson’s 28 points and 12 rebounds, the Spurs failed to climb out of the 21-3 early first-quarter lead. Moreover, the struggling team was also without its leading scorer, Victor Wembanyama, who missed his second game of the season. Now, the Spurs will take a trip south of Milwaukee to meet the Chicago Bulls in the Windy City.
The Bulls face a tough schedule with the second half of a back-to-back and their third game in four nights, offering the Spurs a chance to capitalize and make the most of the Bulls’ challenging situation. However, the availability of their star rookie, Victor Wembanyama, is a source of intrigue for the Bulls faithful.

On Tuesday, Tom Orsborn of the San Antonio Express reported that the Frenchman will be out for the Spurs road matchup against the Bucks due to a sore ankle. The report also stated that the rookie unicorn is expected to return to action tonight. Consequently, ahead of the contest at the United Center tonight, the status of the Spurs center has been upgraded to “probable.” Despite his day-to-day status, Wemby is likely going to suit up tonight since the ankle injury does not seem too serious. He first missed a game on November 1 against the New Orleans Pelicans due to right hip tightness.
Apart from Wemby, the Spurs are monitoring two more players on the injury report. Their lead scorer in the recent loss, Keldon Johnson, is also probable, as he is dealing with low back tightness. However, the Spurs will continue to miss the services of Charles Bassey, who is out for the remainder of the season after sustaining a left ACL tear. Therefore, the Spurs starting lineup might look like – Malaki Branham, Devin Vassell, Keldon Johnson, Jeremy Sochan, and Victor Wembanyama.

However, Henri Dell (thumb) and Onuralp Bitim (nose) have been upgraded to game-time decisions.
The lineup for the Chicago side might look like – Coby White, Ayo Dosunmu, DeMar DeRozan, Patrick Williams, and Nikola Vucevic.
