The Texas arena became a vibrant youth versus experience as the Houston Rockets clinched a close 103-101 win. While Victor Wembanyama posted a 13-point and 10-rebound double-double. While he scored 11 in the last 15 minutes of the game, he started the game with evident struggles against an Alperen Sengun-less squad. On the other side, Fred VanVleet dropped crucial 21 points alongside 7 assists and 7 rebounds, marking the Rockets’ fourth straight road win.
Despite Wemby’s double-double, fans anticipated more from the 7’4 generational player. Resonating the same, Skip Bayless, in his recent X update, bashed the rookie for his underperformance, especially in a home game against an under-manned squad.
No way should Wemby allow the Spurs to lose at home to the Rockets without Sengun. Wemby is so much better than that.

In the Spurs previous game against the Rockets, Sengun emerged as the pivotal factor, posting 45 points and 16 rebounds. However, Victor Wembanyama was limited to 10 points in the game. Now, as Sengun deals with an injury, the game posed Wemby to have clear entries to the basket, hoping for a dominant performance along the way.
Now, the San Antonio Spurs close their season series against the Rocket with a 1-3 record. However, as the Spurs move ahead on the disappointing season, fans are beginning to notice potential-long term concerns with their French rookie.
Fans voice major concerns with Victor Wembanyama
@CrunchCardwell pointed out the lack of responsibility in Wembanyama, citing hesitancy and commitment issues to play. Moreover, claiming Wemby’s presence to be counter-constructive, the fan also questioned his approach off the ball.
Bad offense in general, but yea Wemby deserves some blame. He's hesitant and never really commits to a decision. He should have stayed put at the high post towards the end of the possession

Moreover, @Berkdem77054736 compared Victor Wembanyama’s caliber to Jock Landale, barring any comparisons with Sengun. Landale is a 3rd year center with Houston, averaging 2.6 points, 2.4 rebound and 0.4 assists this season.
Today we saw that Wemby is Jock Landale caliber.. Don't bring his name with Sengun again 😂😂😂

@bigboysteeler recognized the skills that Wemby brings to the court. However, the fan clouded the youngster’s case of dominating the paint. The fan’s comment came in light of Wembanyama’s weight in comparison to other NBA centers. Moreover, the fan also highlighted Wembanyama’s struggle with balance, forcing him to take the ground and lose the ball.
One day youll realize wemby isnt a bully in the paint. He weighs 100 pounds less then anyone that gaurds him. He can finesse his way sure, but he aint a Bully. He falls down alot of gets stripped. And devin sucks we been through this. Hes only good for when we are down 30

On the other hand, @MoBamba617 came in with a completely personal loss. While the fans dispalyed shock on Spurs’ loss despite the odds stacked against the visiting team, their primary concerns came around a lost fantasy bet.
Im pissed i put good money on the spurs! How can he not beat the sorry rockets at home??

Moreover, @HoodiTrin did not waste words in claiming that the Spurs are better without Victor Wembanyama. Reflecting on their statement is the Spurs’ recent back to back against the Golden State Warriors. Playing the first leg without Victor Wembanayama, the Texas team went to the locker room with a win. However, with Victor starting in the next game, they lost 102-112.
