A motor vehicle hit Oubre while he was walking on the pedestrian in Center City Philadelphia. As soon as Maxey got to hear about the news, he shot a text to Maxey as soon as after the game. Maxey was hospitalized in stable condition and there were minor injuries that would take some more time to heal before Oubre could hit the court.?

Maxey wished his teammate a speedy recovery, and he was relieved to know about his condition. ?It’s a sad deal, but we are really happy that was a minor injury because of what could have happened.?

The 76ers aim for a winning streak without Oubre?s presence?

The 76ers have been on a winning streak, with their latest victory over the Pacers marking their eighth consecutive win. Kelly Oubre Jr. is a key player in the team?s rotation and is having a notable career in the NBA.?

Selected by the Atlanta Hawks with the 15th overall pick in the 2015 NBA Draft, Obure has experience playing in several teams before joining the 76ers. In the 2023-24 season, he is averaging 16.3 points, and collecting 5.1 rebounds.?
