In the spectacular Warriors vs Lakers matchup last Saturday, viewers and the Crypto.com Arena crowd were witness to Stephen Curry showing rare emotions on the floor. Steph and D’Angelo Russell were engaged in a heated exchange in the third quarter. In a leaked audio later, the ‘Baby-faced Assassin’ was heard trash-talking D’Lo in one of the most iconic moments.

It goes without saying that this will be an incident that will make its designated rounds on the Internet and all the sports talk shows and then some more. One such analysis of Steph’s NSFW comments aimed at Russ was done by Cam and Ma$e of It Is What It Is podcast. Talking about the whole spectacle, Cam seemed to be quite proud of Curry. But not before he took a dig at the NBA. “I don’t like the fact that the female NCAA got more beef than ni**as in the NBA.”

Cam, was, of course, referring to when the LSU Tigers lost to the University of South Carolina Gamecocks. Aside from the actual fight that erupted between Kamilla Cardoso and Flau’jae Johnson. There were six ejections that night and USC went on to win the SEC Tournament championship with MiLaysia Fulwiley named the MVP. But what Cam wants to bring more attention to is Angel Reese’s attitude to the loss.

The ‘Bayou Barbie’ hadn’t taken part in the on-court altercation. But she went straight to the post-game presser where she stood her ground and warned the Gamecocks that they would “see them down the road”. Cam was absolutely impressed by the passion and behavior that Reese exhibited. And the closest he saw of the same was between Steph and D’Lo. He believes that the competitive spirit is essential in sports.

Stephen Curry goes off the script as D’Lo gets on his nerve

Steph was in an intense one-on-one with LeBron James near the Lakers bench. Russell was, at the time, on the bench, encouraging James all along, saying, “Go at his a**.” Curry managed to get the upper hand finally as they forced a turnover when Gary Payton blocked a three.

But Steph wasn’t too impressed by Russ’ trash talk. Not one to simply forget and dismiss, the 4x champion promptly knocked a three and came back to D’Lo with a flashy dialogue, “Get your b*tch a** on the court!” There is no doubt that this will remain one of the best trash talks in the NBA for years to come.
