Recently, LeBron James’s teammate Austin Reaves sat down with former NBA player Matt Barnes for an episode of All The Smoke. Barnes went on to ask Reaves what he thought about James not as a player but as a person.

“He acts like a damn kid,” Reaves said. “He acts like he’s 18. I never really see him in a bad mood. Always joking, laughing, and having a good time. And for someone that, you know, you put on a pedestal because he’s done what he’s done.”

“For him to be just so personable. Right? Talk to him about anything,” Reaves said. “You can have a good conversation with him. You could joke around like I said. And you know, the best thing about him is he comes to work every day happy.”

The impact of LeBron James

For a young teammate to relate so much to a veteran does speak volumes of James’ demeanor. Given that LBJ is 38, he can take over the team and be the leader everyone wants him to be. According to Reaves, LeBron is also good at just letting go and having a good time.
