When it comes to the NBA world, nothing ever gets dissolved in the ether. It was 12 years ago, when the Lakers legend, Shaq, tried to make us believe that he could be both a Celtic and a Laker. But the Big Diesel could be anything that he chooses to be, for he has the rings and the incredible career to back it up. But what about Chris Paul? Are the fans being too rude to him?
A lot is riding on the Golden State Warriors this season. This could be a make-or-break season for the Dubs core. Yet, their efforts come across as something less than ideal for their goals.
Can the Dubs get a ring for CP3?

There was a time when the Dubs front office would pick up the phone and call a player, to tell that he could win a ring, if he joined them. And they weren?t lying, because they were that good. But are they in the same position now? Most definitely not. That?s why Chris Paul?s comparison to that of Shaq going to the Celtics is kind of off. Shaq went to the Celtics to get a ring with the Boston greats like Paul Pierce, Kevin Garnett, and Ray Allen, who were still competing at a high level. Stephen Curry is still playing at his best, but Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are showing significant attrition.
Chris Paul has had a significant impact on all the teams that he has been with. He might even uplift Kuminga and Moody. But yet a lot has to happen for them to go after Denver or the Lakers. That?s why the slander that is going on, by comparing CP3 with Shaq, is just not right. They are literally calling him ?the New Celtics Shaq.? Check the below Instagram post to see the comments.

Are the Warriors a legitimate contender?
The Dubs have been playing a high-tempo style for a long time. When the core was younger, their precision matched their speed. But since the last few seasons, the Dubs have had a high turnover, which was undoing their efforts. And they do not have a legitimate center that can battle with the likes of Jokic or Anthony Davis. Yet they haven?t made any significant trades this off-season to fill that gap.

Was Chris Paul’s addition more to do with Jordan Poole, or was he really needed? We might never know the answer to that question. Yet we can never count the Dubs out because they will always be a scintillating team to watch when they are at their best.
