Drawing from this experience, Trevor Ariza, whose son Tajh is a touted member of the class of 2026, recently engaged in a candid interview with Shannon Sharpe.

Sharpe puts Ariza on the spot
Trevor Ariza was recently asked about how he would advise his son to approach playing with other celebrity kids like LeBron James’ and Gilbert Arenas’ sons. To this, Ariza had a brutal reply.
After the ex-NBA player asserted that today’s kids lack the unbridled passion and drive for success, Shannon Sharpe posed this thought-provoking question. Sharpe inquired about the advice for Ariza’s son when competing against other celebrity kids. Ariza responded, “I don’t think it’s a difference, man. You treat everybody the same. You treat people with respect but you still got to try to break their f****ng neck on the court.”
Tajh stands out within a coveted group of prospects who recently boasted their skills at the Flight Club Invitational. The invitational roster included Alijah Arenas, Bryce James, and Mercy Miller; sons of Gilbert Arenas, LeBron James, and Master P, respectively.

Trevor Ariza wins the career battle against LeBron James
From November 21, 2004, to January 31, 2020, Trevor Ariza and LeBron James engaged in 28 fierce competitions on the court. Despite instances where Ariza failed to contribute a single point, his team often emerged victorious; securing a total of 15 wins compared to James’ 13 in their matchups.
However, a stark contrast exists in their individual performances. Ariza, with an average of 8.6 points, 3.7 rebounds, and 2 assists against James, pales in comparison to the King’s stats of 25 points, 7.9 rebounds, and 7.4 assists.
