His highest scoring season came in the 2002-03 season, where he averaged 32.1 points per game. His high-scoring game followed this up in the next season with 62 points.

Understanding Dame’s frustration, Tracy mentioned his stint with the Orlando Magic. He had signed a 7-year deal with the Magic and eventually played only 4. He said the heavy playtime took a toll on his body.

Additionally, he showcased unfulfillment since he thought he was going to play with other talented players like Grant Hill. He said, “My four years I think we only played like 47 games together.”?

McGrady followed up by explaining his situation with the Magic. He added, “If anybody deserves to request a trade and they still have debt amount of years left on that deal, – is Dame.” In recognition of his unwavering loyalty to the Blazers organization, he said,?“I have no ill will towards that, I am not mad at his decision.”

Tracy relates his time with Magic with Damian and Portland Trail Blazers. Like Magic, the Blazers have been experimenting with their roster for years. They’ve already given up more than half of their trio in Dame, McCullum, and Aldridge long ago. Plus, despite Damian Lillard’s constant desire to contend for a championship. The organization has refused to consider their star player’s approach.

The Blazers are not rushing to finalize a deal for Lillard, as GM Joe Cronin stated, they are open to taking their time. The negotiations hit a snag after Portland failed to acquire Tyler Herro. Both teams may or may not involve a third party to facilitate the trade.
