Tim Hardaway Jr’s trade into the Dallas Mavericks in 2019 during the season was a shocker for fans, even for the man himself. When it comes to the NBA trades, they are packed with emotions, drama, and a whole lot of surprises. Word also gets around about possible trades among the organization as well as the fans, but they are just words until they come true.
However, imagine finding out you have been traded away not from your coach or even your teammates, but from your driver. This is exactly what happened to Tim Hardaway Jr, who was completely in the dark about his trade. He was with the New York Knicks at the time and even showed up for practice on the fateful day but no one said anything.

Tim Hardaway Jr knew something was up
Tim remembers how everyone was all hush-hush about something after practice; this was when he realized something was up. As he recalls, everybody’s spirit was down, but that wasn’t going to affect him. So, off he went to Barney’s New York.
