Nottingham Forest stunned Chelsea in a stunning shock at Stamford Bridge, defeating the Blues for the first time since January 1995. Anthony Elanga, the day’s hero, carved his name in history with a rare club goal that sent shocks across the footballing world. Elanga’s game-winning goal came just three minutes into the second half when he easily placed the ball into the net. This key moment happened because of Taiwo Awoniyi’s pass, who capitalized on Moises Caicedo’s error. It was not only the winning goal, but it was also Elanga’s first for Forest since his £15 million summer transfer from Manchester United. The goal ended a personal club goal drought that had been going on since February 2022.

To witness this match, the Washington Wizards star, Kyle Kuzma, was present at Stamford Bridge. From the United States, the player flew into West London to support Chelsea. Kuzma was standing pitchside and got presented to the audience before kickoff. He provided a touch of elegance to the event, underscoring the worldwide appeal of the Premier League. Although, this is not Kuzma’s first football visit, as he got to meet Lionel Messi at an MLS game.

Nevertheless, Kuzma got to be in the presence of one of the best football players in the world. And he even witnessed Inter Miami’s victory where Messi scored his 8th goal for the club. So even if he did not get to see Chelsea win, he got to see Messi and his team win.
