Social media has allowed fans to get first-hand perspectives of many NBA players. Many of these players directly debate the hot topics that surround the league. One of the, if not the most vocal NBA players on social media is Kevin Durant. His Twitter takes are the gifts that keep giving away. Many times, he tweets instinctually and then deletes it, but the word on the internet spreads faster than anywhere else.?

In another controversial take, he took a shot at both Draymond Green and Jordan Poole.

When Draymond Green punched Jordan Poole in October last year, fans and players alike were shocked. The incident cut deep into the psyche of many people and it has left its echoes. In the aftermath, the Warriors shipped away Poole and kept Green, which showcases who they value more. A lot has been said about the issue but for Kevin Durant, this is a deflection away from the ?real game”.?

His comment came under a tweet by a user who was critiquing and mocking the way reporting has been done on the whole incident. The user pointed out a statement by the journalist in the report where Jordan allegedly brought out Draymond?s dating history as the cause of the punching incident. Durant responded to the user by declaring, “These men like drama more than the actual game?.

He later deleted the Tweet because he may have thought this was a direct attack on two of the current players. However, he feels that the whole situation is fabricated rather than something that pertains to the actual sport. These comments hold a lot of weight considering that the electric Forward has been a part of the Warriors during two seasons. He has had a rough history with Green, so these comments in that way aren?t surprising.

Dray and KD have faced off before

Green has a reputation for getting in people?s faces, and the Jordan Poole incident is a testament to that. During a 2018 Regular Season game, Draymond and Durant got into a heated argument after the chirpy Forward fluffed a potential game-winning possession. After a rebound, the Golden State Warriors forward decided to take the ball to the other end himself while KD kept asking for it. This threw Durant into a rage.

KD left for the Nets the following summer, but the two supposedly patched, at least on the surface. Anyway, the latest comments may not sit well with Draymond Green, who just recently inked a four-year $100 million deal with the Warriors.
