The Philadelphia 76ers are yet to play with their full roster, as James Harden hasn’t joined the group. Meanwhile, Tyrese Maxey, Tobias Harris have made significant contributions in the team’s last two wins. However, the 2022-23 MVP Joel Embiid doesn’t seem to wait for the full roster, to unleash his dominance. During the Sunday night clash against the Portland Trail Blazers, Embiid brought out his A-game and also attracted the fans with a questionable gesture.

The Sixers played their first home game of the season and delivered the fans what they always wish for, a dominant win. Embiid’s thunderous performance fulfilled Harden’s absence on the court. He dropped 35 points with 15 rebounds taking him straight back to the MVP contention for the current season. Anyhow, the 29-year-old star could land in trouble before dominating again for the gesture made on the court.

Embiid & Co dominated the game right from the word get go. The team almost maintained a 15-point lead throughout the game. The supporting cast, Tobias Harris and Tyrese Maxey contributed simultaneously to the scoreboard. Nevertheless, during the third quarter, the Cameroonian went haywire after running against the Blazers’ Malcolm Bragdon on the paint and dropped a layup.

James Harden‘s absence doesn’t seem to affect the team’s progress, as they take second dominant win. Moreover, Embiid himself got dragged to trade rumor. Now, his performance proved everything wrong.

The Sixers take home second consecutive win

While several reports suggested that the team’s management has let Harden practice with the team, he could return to the court anytime. Despite of his absence, his team produced a blowout victory. Thanks to Embiid. Harris and Maxey dropped 24 and 26 points respectively, playing as the perfect support cast for the big man. Next up, they take on the Toronto Raptors again and would look repeat the same.
