During the episode, the panel brought up a topic about leadership asking, “Is it a star player’s responsibility to be the team leader?” After Arenas gave his thoughts on the question, Miko Grimes chimed in saying, “There are more than one ways you can lead, and you can have more than one leader.”

Things started to get heated when McCants called Russell Westbrook the best player on the Clippers team and was interrupted by Grimes because she disagreed with McCants’ point.

The discussion took an unexpected turn when McCants brought up his NBA experience as a player and discredited Grimes’ opinion because she lacked the experience of playing in the WNBA. McCants told Grimes, “You never played in the pros. You never played in the WNBA.”

As the argument escalated, Arenas tried to lighten the mood with some jokes and grabbed a packet of Doritos to enjoy during the show.

McCants tried to end the argument by taking a dig at Grimes, “That’s like Stephen A. Smith knowing more about it than us”. This rubbed Grimes the wrong way, and she quickly replied, “I am not Stephen A. Smith, I am Miko Grimes.”

Grimes might not have played in the WNBA, but she has played professional basketball for 6 years in 4 different countries. This, along with her journalism experience, has earned her a spot as the co-host of the show. McCants on the other hand was a player in the NBA from 2005 to 2009 and played three seasons for the Minnesota Timberwolves. So, who are you siding with in this argument?
