The Kid from Akron surpassed Steph Curry on the list to claim the top spot. What is astonishing is that James has claimed the throne since 2018-19. It should not be overlooked that Stephen Curry also had his fair share of time at the top of the list. While The Chosen One has been consistently topping the list, Curry’s popularity has wavered quite a few times throughout his career. King James had dominated the charts with 9 top-selling seasons, even overthrowing the NBA legend Kobe Bryant. Whereas Stephen Curry only made it to the top three times, all during his remarkable 2015-2018 era.

It was not just Golden State Warriors vs. Cleveland Cavaliers, it was an epic battle between the two greatest players in the NBA. As expected, the teams delivered an exhilarating match. Stephen Curry led the Golden State Warriors to win their first championship title in 40 years. Then they went on to win two more consecutive titles in 2017 and 2018 against LeBron James’ Cleveland Cavaliers.
