While the first outing of the superstar duo went on their way, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard failed to make a similar impact in their second game. The Oklahoma City Thunder led by Josh Giddy and Chet Holmgren produced a dominating victory over the Milwaukee Bucks on Tuesday night. However, the defeat doesn’t seem to have affected the Greek Freak as he shared a metaphorical picture, leaving fans to go haywire.

Fans witnessed the first-ever outing of the pair against the formidable Los Angeles Lakers. The much-awaited team-up hit straight off the bat with a commanding performance. Giannis and Lillard scored 16 and 14 points in the game, paving the way for a 97-108 victory. In the second outing, the Thunder controlled the game right from the word go. Following the defeat, Giannis shared a cryptic message to his fans, just like he did after defeating the Lakers.

After his first outing with Damian Lillard, Giannis Antetokounmpo took to his Instagram handle and shared some pictures from the game. Along with the pictures, he also added a caption that read, “The season can’t start soon enough.” Now that the caption didn’t age well, Giannis dropped another post after losing to the OKC.

He shared a picture of him helping Lillard get up from the floor along with a handshake emoji in the caption. While on the surface it seemed like a usual post, fans in the comments could help but read meaning into it. They began decoding the seemingly cryptic photo. One user said, “Take us to the promise land!” Here are some more reactions from the fans.

Recognizing the growing bond between the Greek Freak and Dame Time, two users formed a new nickname for the duo,”Freak time” and “freaky time”.

Jason George, another user decoded Giannis’ cryptic post to another level, as he says, “Couple goals fr.” When Giannis lost Jrue Holiday in the process of roping in Dame, fans expressed their sorrow at the separation of the star duo. However, the worry seemed to have subsided, as the new pair seems to have taken off.

Two other users expressed their excitement for Giannis’ possibility on the second ring, saying, “Bucks to the chip this year baby” and “IM SO READY FOR YOUR SECOND RKNGGGG”
