The Phoenix Suns underwent a roster overhaul this season and brought in Bradley Beal. They sacrificed almost all the depth in their chart to form their superteam of Beal, Kevin Durant, and Devin Booker. While the trio makes for a lethal scoring group, their affinity for injuries might be a cause for concern for the new-look Suns. Bradley Beal has yet to make his season debut in the Suns uniform. He only played two preseason games before he was sidelined due to a back ailment.

Considering the circumstances, it looks like the Valley fans have to wait a little longer since Beal is listed as out for the home opener against the Utah Jazz. In Beal’s absence, what will the starting lineup for the Suns look like?

The Suns started their season hot with a 108-104 victory against the Golden State Warriors, with Booker leading the team with a 32-point performance. Although Durant looked a little rusty in the first game, he was quick to bounce back, capping 39 points in the team’s loss to the LA Lakers.

To be fair, the Suns were without two of their star players, Beal and Booker. And that seems to be the case for their next game against the Jazz, too. Beal’s back spasms have been plaguing him since the preseason, and there is no timeline for his return. In addition, Booker is also sidelined for a second straight game after missing the team’s matchup against the Lakers.

Since both Beal and Booker are sidelined for tonight’s matchup, the Suns are likely to go with their last game’s starting five. The starting lineup might feature Eric Gordon, Grayson Allen, Josh Okogie, Kevin Durant, and Jusuf Nurkic.

Without Beal and Booker, the Suns’ offense looked substandard, save for Durant and Jordan Goodwin. Goodwin scored 14 points off the bench, including bringing the ball up to close out the fourth quarter. It is also highly likely that he might get the nod to join the starting lineup today.

Why is Devin Booker missing tonight’s game versus the Jazz?

After appearing on the injury report as questionable due to soreness in his left big toe, Booker dropped an astonishing 32 points on the Warriors.?According to TNT?s Jared Greenberg, Booker suffered a left mid-foot sprain during the team’s opening night victory that sidelined him for the next game against the Lakers.

Unfortunately, he will be missing the home opener as well due to the same sprain.

The Utah Jazz is riding high on a narrow 118-120 home win against the LA Clippers. That being said, the Jazz are one of the teams that perform poorly on the road. With home-court advantage and Eric Gordon, Grayson Allen, and Jusuf Nurkic helping KD, the Suns do not have much to worry about.
