The Phoenix Suns’ 2023-24 regular season has been anything but smooth sailing. It began on a good note with a win against the Golden State Warriors in the season opener. However, since then, the team has recorded three losses with just one win against the Utah Jazz. With a lead of 2-3, the Suns are now 5th in Pacific Division.

In the last two games against the San Antonio Spurs, Phoenix lost consecutively, putting a dent on their hopes of a good run to the playoffs. While it may be too soon to predict the end result, their forthcoming games, especially the one against the Philadelphia 76ers today are crucial.

Dana Scott, writer from azcentral sports, shared a list of Suns’ players who are expected to sit out this match. The absence of the 35-year-old forward from the list tells that we will definitely see him play. The other player set to miss are Devin Booker whose status is questionable due to his left ankle sprain, Bradley Beal who is out with low back spasms and Damion Lee who is also out with right meniscus surgery.

Kevin did play in all of Phoenix’s previous games and has a season average of 27.4 points with 6.8 rebounds and 4.0 assists. With some of the other bigger names being doubtful or to be missing the game, the pressure is on Durant to give the best. This gives the team the opportunity to work some of their strategies out in the case of their star players missing.

While Durant has proven himself to be more than capable of carrying the team, fans will be watching today’s match with anticipation to see how he fares.
