Subbing in for LeBron James, Wife Savannah Makes Elderly Fan Emotional With Heartwarming Gesture

LeBron James has millions of fans all around the world. It is a dream for many to get one meeting with arguably the best basketball player in NBA history. And one die-hard LeBron fan nearly made her dream a reality for herself and her mother through the power of prayer and social media. Hoping for a Christmas miracle, a Lakers fan shot her shot at getting a chance to meet her idol, LeBron James.

However, LeBron’s wife, Savannah James, subbed in for the 4-time Champion and made the elderly fan emotional with a heartwarming gesture.

The die-hard LeBron James fan by the Instagram ID ‘organically.cultivated’ posted a video on her account on December 4. She requested her viewers to get the video to the right people so that she could get her mother to meet LeBron during a Lakers game on Christmas Day. Her prayers were answered as someone contacted her to set up a meet and greet with LeBron’s wife, Savannah James. The fan took her mother to the Crypto.com arena for the Lakers vs. Celtics game, giving her the biggest surprise of her life.

The mother-daughter duo met with Savannah James and had a wonderful conversation with her. Unfortunately, they could not meet LeBron because he was busy playing on the court. The elderly fan was overwhelmed by the experience and was thankful to Savannah James for setting up the wholesome moment. She also shared the video of the entire incident on her social media. Savannah James shared the video on her Instagram story and wrote, “You guys were the sweetest!!” It was a true Christmas miracle.

LeBron James fans could not watch him win

Even though both LeBron fans got to meet Savannah James, their night had a minor setback. They could not watch LeBron James win on Christmas Day. The Los Angeles Lakers were dominated by the first-seeded Boston Celtics. LeBron did not perform to his maximum potential and finished the game with only 16 points. Meanwhile, Boston put up a great team performance and won the game 126-115. The two fans got to witness Anthony Davis’ incredible 40-point 13-rebound performance.

Nevertheless, it was a memorable night for the two LeBron fans and they will cherish it for a long time. And it was all because of the wholesome gesture by Savannah James. The fan called Savannah the extension of King James and congratulated them on choosing each other as partners.
