Stephen Curry’s ‘Godfather’ Gift Sparks Greed Among Lindsay Lohan’s Co-Stars: “Stop Asking Me”

2024 has been a happening year for the Curry household. Stephen Curry is of course deepening his exploits in the NBA. His wife Ayesha Curry has made strides in multiple endeavors. At first, she announced her movie debut in the romantic comedy ‘Irish Wish’ which was released today. Then earlier this month, the couple also announced the expectation of their fourth child. It’s been an active and joyous time for the pair.

They are also making new friends.

While shooting for ‘Irish Wish’, Ayesha Curry bonded with popular actress Lindsay Lohan. They became best friends while filming in the land of Ireland. During that time, they also introduced their partners to one another. Now, double dates happen quite often for the group. They grew so close that Lohan and her husband Bader Shammas entrusted them with one of the most vital roles in the life of their son Luai.

Lohan and Shammas, who married in 2022 welcomed Luai into the world in July 2023. Incidentally, it was close to this time that Curry and Lohan would meet on the sets of the ‘Irish Wish’. As it transpired, the two couples grew closer through their multiple game nights and double dates.

While it wasn’t revealed until February, Lindsay Lohan and Shammas gave the Curry’s a significant role in the life of Luai – their only son. The pair asked them to be the godparents to their seven-month-old son. While well concealed, the world found out when Lohan attended one of Curry’s games and was presented with a special jersey afterward.

Stephen Curry, the three-point king of the NBA gave her his signed jersey. It was his first gift as a godfather to Luai. He also inscribed an exclusive message for the adorable son of Lohan that eventually gave away his status in his life. “To Luai, your godparents love you!” he wrote on the jersey.

Expectedly, the rumbles were felt all over. Lohan, when speaking to People.com revealed that Curry’s gift for her son instantly became popular amongst her co-stars. “They were like, ‘How much can we get the jersey for?’ I was like, “’Stop asking me,’” she jokingly told People.

In years to come, Luai can look back at the jersey of Stephen Curry, an icon in the world of sports, and hear stories about the ruckus his mother had to endure to keep it in her collection. It is a story to narrate in the future. Perhaps during another double date?
