History is in the making. Stephen Curry has used his Under Armour brand to sign some of the most tantalizing stars in the basketball realm. De’Aaron Fox, a worthy matchup for the legendary point guard in recent years, was the first to be signed under his collar. Now, he has proclaimed his second signing, and the first NCAA athlete to be endorsed by the Curry brand.

Curry gleefully welcomed the University of South Carolina freshman MiLaysia Fulwiley to the roster. The Gamecocks’ freshman sensation has had an unforgettable week. At first, she made a pivotal impact in the SEC championship game against the defending champions, Angel Reese and LSU. Her historic performance landed her a NIL deal with Mr. Seafood, who introduced a signature garlic butter sauce as a part of the deal. She has now walked into the house of Stephen Curry and is the first collegiate star to be endorsed by his brand.

Fulwiley ascended to the top of women’s basketball as one of the most exciting talents. In the SEC championship game where chaos and scuffles headlined the night, the South Carolina freshman stood supreme. She dropped a game-high 24 points to lead the undefeated Gamecocks to the championship. In doing so, she made history, becoming the first-ever freshman to win the tournament’s MVP honors.

Fulwiley had shocked the world. The basketball realm was swooning to her elite abilities. And Stephen Curry spotted an opportunity in his fascination. The Warriors superstar dedicated an Instagram post to the Columbian welcoming her to the Curry brand.

“@laywitdabutter is different,” he wrote. “If you’ve seen her play, you know. Beyond that, her commitment to her community and overall values align with what we’re building over here at Curry Brand. Welcome to the fam, Lay! Stay tuned!”

As part of the deal, Milaysia Fulwiley, who played in Curry’s AAU team, will headline the launch of upcoming Curry sneakers. Additionally, she will have the opportunity to curate her very own player-exclusive colorways and feature as the brand ambassador for the brand. The South Carolina freshman is already looking forward to the future and aspiring to be a role model for the coming generation. “It feels incredible to be picked to represent the Curry Brand. Knowing that I can be a role model for other young girls to come out here and do exactly what I did, is amazing,” she said the Boardroom reported.

Stephen Curry and his team seem to have big things in the works for Fulwiley and the brand. It’s the first step in something massive. Curry is breeding a culture and the history-making freshman encapsulates the motto of his brand.
