Stephen Curry has been in the headlines a lot lately. Be it his extravagant vacation with his wife, Ayesha Curry in Greece or his unique basketball camp for young athletes, the 33 year-old has turned heads this offseason. However, his biggest news this summer has been the release of his new documentary “Underrated”. The two time MVP recently featured in a music video for his documentary, also talking about the “secret sauce” of life. However, this comes just days after an infamous incident in the Golden State Warriors locker room.
The 2022-23 NBA season got off to a shaky start for the Warriors. After an altercation involving 4-time All-Star, Draymond Green and Jordan Poole, the Warriors were never the same. Going into the 2023-24 season, the Warriors have made some changes to suit the locker room situation. However, can the franchise avoid this situation in the future? Stephen Curry has been actively promoting his recent documentary, Underrated, released on Apple TV+. However, the 2-time MVP tried a different approach this time. He featured in the music video for the theme song to his documentary along with rapper, Tobe Nwigwe. In the video, the 9-time All-Star is seen lip syncing to the song “Lil Fish Big Pond” along with the $5M worth rapper. In an interview after the release of this song, Curry opened up about his mindset in the face of difficulties.

“Whatever the context of the situation, whatever the loss is….I think acknowledging it first and embracing whatever the emotions [are] that come with it – we’re all human beings,” said the 4-time champion.
He further explained, “You have to find what that moment is teaching you. I think it’s a hard, hard thing to do, but it’s so important to allow yourself the space to let those emotions flood through….what patience might come through it.”
However, the Chef then went on to reveal the secret sauce of dealing with emotions. “I think the process for me has always been the secret sauce of just being able to make sure I enjoy whatever I’m doing or whoever I’m around, and that will help me kind of accept the results or the realities that you find yourself in, because some of that stuff’s so controllable,” said Chef Curry.

Draymond Green’s infamous punch had devastating consequences. The locker room environment naturally changed after this altercation. Stephen Curry too realised that the situation had changed for the camp. However, the Baby Faced Assassin dealt with the adversity the same way he deals with any other – accept it.
Now, almost a year after the incident, the Warriors do not remain the same team. Jordan Poole eventually got traded to the Washington Wizards to bring 12-time All-Star, Chris Paul to Dub Nation. Although Paul and Curry were the fiercest of rivals before his arrival in Golden State, the 2-time MVP has welcomed Paul to his franchise with open arms.
