It has now been confirmed that Wemby has been listed as questionable for tonight’s game vs the Hawks due to a right hip tightness. This is devastating news for the already suffering Spurs.

The Spurs are in what seems to be the lowest point currently, taking a beating in the form of a 12-game-losing streak. And it does not help them at all that the rookie prodigy made his first entry into the injury list. Before this, Wemby had played all 17 of the Spurs’ season games, averaging 19.2 points, 9.5 rebounds, and 2.6 assists.

Wemby’s potential absence tonight could weigh heavily on the Spurs

Numbers rarely lie, and Wemby is leading the team’s charts in points, rebounds, steals, and blocks. He has already made a huge impact for the Spurs; and amidst their deep slump, if Wemby sits out tonight’s game, the chances of securing a win against the Hawks could potentially be diminished.

Joining Wembanyama on the probable list tonight is Jeremy Sochan (knee). There are no details on how Wembanyama sustained this injury. However, we can assume that it happened during practice and find solace in the fact that it is not a serious injury.
