Picture this – the year 2015. The NBA is far from the era of superteams. Each franchise has a hail-mary shot at winning it all. It was the year the Golden State Warriors made their marks, the first taste of a dynasty. It was also a staple season for LeBron James, who made it to his 4th consecutive NBA finals. However, his reputation was at stake when he faced the Chicago Bulls in the first round.
If it wasn’t for his miraculous moment, the Cleveland Cavaliers would have sunk into a hole. One that could have been too deep to climb out of. 12 years after his maverick play, the King felt the jolts reliving the day once again.

The Chicago Bulls fans once again felt the electricity of the time Michael Jordan and Scottie Pippen added banners to their arena. This year it was Derrick Rose and Jimmy Butler. The tandem had threatened the league. Securing the third seed, Chicago was facing the ultimate challenge, beating LeBron James in the playoffs. Since 2011, no one had stopped him from getting to the NBA Finals. The Bulls came the closest.
Just one game ago, Derrick Rose struck a dagger in Chicago. The Bulls held the upper hand, up 2-1 in the series. The atmosphere was set for the Bulls to dethrone the King.
Ironically, Game 4 once again went to the buzzer. The Bulls needed one stop to reshape NBA history. Tied at 84-84, the Cavs were flustering. The greedy question – who takes the last shot? The next few seconds answered the millions watching, half in agony.

Expectantly, LeBron James got the ball in the post. Fading away, time stopped as everyone stared in between. After the net swished, King James and the Cavaliers exploded in Joy. Wild scenes followed as the series was tied 2-2. Startled, the Bulls fell apart losing the next two games to the prowess of James and the Cavaliers.
Replaying the moment, LeBron James recalled all those feelings. Posting an Instagram story he said, “Sorry… not sorry”.
