With so many highly influential figures in the sports world, there will always exist a debate about who the Greatest Sports Leaders in history are. Although there is no correct answer to this question, people do not let go of the chance to bring this topic back to the table with their own Top-5 list. Analysts usually include 4-time NBA Champion LeBron James in their list of Greatest Athletes.
But $200,000,000 rich entrepreneur and writer Patrick Bet-David shocked the world with his Top 5 list of Greatest Sports Leaders, snubbing King James.
LeBron James did not make the cut

LeBron James has been the face of the NBA for over two decades. Entering his 21st season, King James has been the leader of three NBA franchises, winning a championship with each one. He was deemed “The Chosen One” before he even entered the NBA and was a bonafide leader since his days at St. Vincent-St. Mary High School. So, it is natural for most people to consider him one of the Greatest Leaders in Sports history.
There’s a big difference between greatest athletes vs 🐐dominators of all time:

2. LeBron James
3. Bo Jackson
4. Michael Jordan

However, Patrick Bet-David has a different opinion. According to him, there is a big difference between Greatest Athletes and Greatest Leaders. Although the multi-millionaire put The Akron Hammer in his list of the Greatest Athletes, he does not consider the 4-time MVP a Top 5 leader in sports history. Patrick was confused about the GOAT spot as he kept two legends, Tom Brady and Michael Jordan, in the Number 1 spot with both winning over 5 championships in their respective sport. He also chose World Cup winner Lionel Messi, Heavyweight Champion Muhammad Ali, and Golfing Legend Tiger Woods over King James. Even baseball legend Babe Ruth made the cut before the 19-time All-Star.

While many players are gifted with freakish athleticism in their respective sports, not many have the skills to lead a team to the biggest prize. Even though LeBron has won in every situation he has been put in during his 20-year career, Patrick does not think he deserves to be ranked among the Top 5 Greatest leaders. Leadership is more than just the skills on the court. It has to do with a player’s mentality, impact, and ability to dominate when his number is called.
Apart from King James, the 44-year-old also snubbed soccer legend Cristiano Ronaldo from his list. CR7 is a legend in his sport and has won the Ballon d’Or trophy 5 times. The only prize missing from his trophy cabinet is the World Cup. He has led all his clubs to glory at different stages of his career.
