‘Dame time’ has begun ticking for the Milwaukee Bucks. Less than a week after the blockbuster trade shocked the NBA world, Damian Lillard appeared as a Buck for the first time on Media Day, putting the hoops community on alert. The 7x All-Star addressed his pairing with Giannis Antetokounmpo and much more. However, what’s striking is he also mentioned that it almost ruined the Milwaukee experience for him.

The Milwaukee Bucks surprised everyone by snatching Damian Lillard from the favorites to land his services: the Miami Heat and the Toronto Raptors, bringing together two of last season’s top scorers.

In his interview, they asked Dame what it felt like to be a part of the franchise. “I’m excited, man. Every time I’ve been to Milwaukee over the course of my career, I just stay in the hotel the whole time because it’s like snowing or something like that,”?said the point guard.

Ever since winning the championship in 2021, the Bucks have failed to live up to the expectations. The 8th-seeded Miami Heat knocked them out in the first round of the NBA playoffs last year. However, this season should be different, thanks to the addition of Damian Lillard.

The duo of Giannis Antetokounmpo and Damian Lillard can take over the NBA

Last season, the Bucks ranked sixth in offensive rating at 114.2, with Giannis averaging 31.1 PPG. On the other hand, Dame averaged 32.2 points per game in Portland. Seeing two of last season’s top scorers playing together would be truly captivating. Dame’s exceptional three-point shooting would create numerous open driving lanes for Giannis.
