Some coaches are volatile in certain situations. And when two coaches with history between them go up against each other, there sure are going to be fireworks. And then there’s the added caveat of them coaching rival teams. Sporting rivalries are serious affairs, no matter the stage. On Tuesday, Colorado Buffaloes play Colorado State in a college football game. All the talk leading up to this game has been surrounding the respective coaches of both the teams and their beef.

12x All-Star and new Warriors player has been observing the drama surrounding the game on the sidelines.

CP3’s reaction to the Drama

The drama began when the Colorado State coach, Jay Norvell, commented “When I talk to grown-ups, I take my hat and my glasses off. That’s what my mother taught me.” In response to the snarky comments made by his rival, Colorado Buffaloes coach Deion Sanders clapped back in a hysterical manner. Coach Prime gave everyone on the team a pair of his iconic shades. This generosity wasn’t just limited to the team, Stephen A. Smith also got a pair. And when the Instagram handle of SportsCenter reported about it, the 12x NBA All-Star, Chris Paul, reacted by liking the post.

In his seventeen years in the NBA, Paul has amassed a reputation as a troll. And it is because of that reason that CP3 liked the post. In all his years as an NBA player, Paul has butted heads with several of his compatriots. Players such as DeMarcus Cousins, Patrick Beverley, and Rajon Rondo all had issues with Chris Paul and his antics. He has garnered a reputation as the league villain and that has put him on the wrong side of many fan bases. That is because Chris Paul has an elite basketball IQ and he uses that to his advantage.

CP3 and the Warriors

The 38-year-old point “God” will play for the Warriors this season. It will intrigue the fans to see how CP3 fits into the Warrior’s system. And how he builds relationships with Curry, Klay, and Green.

With Chris Paul still without an NBA championship, the Warriors provide an opportunity that he so badly wants and probably won’t have in his ever again. Chris Paul will still be considered as one of the best point guards in the league, but if CP3 could lift that title in his twilight years, it would cement his legacy.
