The earliest bid for this project would be for the 2026 campaign. And most recently, the majority owner of the Boston Celtics commented on the same.

Wyc Grousbeck said, “We’re on it. It’s taking up planning time. The wheels are in motion. We’re definitely going for it“.?

Boston’s rich sporting history surely contributes to the city’s appeal as a host city. Furthermore, it is likely that they would offer the Celtics the opportunity to host the tournament. And with the Celtics standing out as one of the NBA’s most recognizable and illustrious organizations.
