A cause for celebration unfolded in Denver as Jamal Murray made a return after an 11-game absence. Adding to the excitement was Nikola Jokic, reentering the lineup after missing a game due to back problems. In contrast, the Houston Rockets took the court undermanned, with the notable absences of Fred VanVleet and Jae’Sean Tate.

In the quest for their first road victory of the season, the Houston Rockets face a growing concern regarding their defensive menace in the game. During a crucial play in the third quarter, Dillon Brooks lost balance while driving to the basket; causing a slight tumble to his left ankle. Following the timeout, Tari Eason swiftly checked in as his replacement.

Nevertheless, Brooks quickly returned to the court, signaling that all was well with Houston’s menace despite the ankle roll.

However, despite avoiding the sidelines, Brooks couldn’t add any more to the scoresheet. Following his scare, Brooks’ stats remained static at 11 points, 2 rebounds, and 1 assist throughout the remainder of the game.

Nikola Jokic records 7th triple-double of the season
Despite a surprising 6-3 start, the Rockets have struggled, posting a 2-5 record in their last 7 games. Although Jalen Green showcased his prowess with a perfect 4-4 from beyond the arc in the third quarter, it wasn’t enough to overcome the onslaught from the Denver Nuggets.
Right from the start, the Denver Nuggets found their rhythm, achieving a season-high 41 points in the first quarter and establishing a commanding 19-point lead.
Securing their third consecutive win, the Nuggets extended their unbeaten record at home. Nikola Jokic stole the spotlight with his seventh triple-double of the season, amassing an impressive 32 points, 15 assists, and 10 rebounds. Additionally, Michael Porter Jr. delivered a season-high performance, scoring 30 points. Jamal Murray warmed up to the NBA environment with 16 points of his own.
