LeBron James has dominated the NBA for over two decades. But there is one more area off the court that the King has dominated since his early career days. He has one of the highest-earning signature shoe lines with multi-billion-dollar brand Nike. LeBron signed with Nike in 2003, even before he got drafted into the league. He has launched 21 iterations of his iconic signature shoes and continues to produce big numbers for the company. Apart from King James, the “Swoosh Gang” also has several other NBA superstars in their portfolio.

The Los Angeles Lakers superstar paid respect to fellow “Swoosh Gang” members, including Kevin Durant, Giannis Antetokounmpo, and more, while sending an inspiring message.

LeBron started his journey with Nike in 2003 when he signed a 7-year $87 million deal with the Swoosh brand. The Akron Hammer passed on Adidas and Reebok and uttered the iconic words, “I’m a Nike guy.” King James further cemented his relationship with Nike in 2015 after he signed a lifetime deal with the company. “Swoosh Gang” lifetime members

Before LeBron James signed a lifetime deal with Nike, there was another player who started it all and changed the sneaker game forever. Michael Jordan signed a lifetime deal with Nike early in his career. The deal has made the 6-time Champion over a billion dollars as he gets paid in royalties by the Jordan brand. Even two decades after his retirement, MJ’s Jordan brand generates the highest revenue for Nike among any signature shoe line.

Following in LeBron and MJ’s footsteps, Kevin Durant became the newest member of the Swoosh brand’s lifetime club. KD signed a lifetime deal with Nike in April this year, becoming only the third player to ink a lifetime contract with the company. Nike has dominated the sneaker game ever since the Michael Jordan era, and it looks like they will sit on that throne for a long time. The Swoosh family continues to grow each year as Nike remains the first option for the majority of the NBA superstars.
