The Golden State Warriors faced the Minnesota Timberwolves in the NBA in-season tournament. However, the first two minutes of the match saw an unruly eruption among players. A brawl erupted suddenly, ejecting Draymond Green, Klay Thompson, and Jaden McDaniels after an altercation, with just a point yet to be scored. What exactly led to this?

Warriors’ star Thompson and Wolves forward, McDaniels, were seen pulling each other’s shirts in transition. Thompson started this and McDaniels carried it further. After that, Rudy Gobert entered the scene to pull back Thompson. Draymond Green interrupted him and grabbed his arms around his throat for a chokehold that lasted for seconds. While Thompson and McDaniels were ejected on the basis of double technicals, Green got a flagrant 2 foul.

After the match, Rudy Gobert took a massive dig at Green. With Klay Thompson out for the brawl, Draymond Green could have stepped up for the Steph Curry-less Warriors. His getting involved in the fight worsened the situation for the Dub Nation. They ended up losing the match as a result. After that, Gobert mocked Green for his “clown behavior”.

Gobert said, “Every time Steph doesn’t play, he doesn’t want to play without his guy Steph so he does anything he can to get ejected.”

This really is a serious accusation. Furthermore, Gobert added that from the moment he heard that Steph Curry was out due to a knee sprain, he knew that Green would try to eject himself.
