So, when he saw Pistons? rookie Ausar Thompson putting up 10.1 rebounds and 1.7 blocks as a 20-year-old, he had to bring that to everyone?s notice. ?Ausar Thompson averaging 10 rebounds and almost 2 blocks per game is not being talked about enough. Ausar Thompson is leading the rookies in rebounds and steals. Averaging 10.1 rebounds, 1.1 steals, and 1.7 blocks per game, Ausar has shown that he is ready to put in the effort on defense. Despite the rookie?s incredible defensive performance, offensively dominant rookies like Victor Wembanyama and Chet Holmgren are talked about much more than Ausar Thompson. It frustrated Draymond that Ausar was not getting his flowers because he was dominating the defense rather than the offense.
