Kyrie Irving has turned his passion for social justice into practical initiatives to improve communities. He tries to deal with important challenges through the Kyrie Andrew Irving Foundation. He is not hesitant to use his position and resources for the greater good. His foundation’s work still impacts many lives. Some of its activities include sponsoring education, mentoring initiatives, and providing essential resources to underprivileged neighborhoods.
But as his most recent act of compassion shows, the Dallas Mavericks player’s generosity knows no limits. Irving didn’t waste any time in offering assistance after learning about the condition of a 93-year-old widow with financial difficulties. However, this was after he helped Nike get $2,600,000,000 richer.

The Developer Bailey Point Investment Group has been fighting her in court in order to build a 147-unit complex close to the old woman’s property. Wright steadfastly refused to sell the prized piece of land despite many offers that reached as high as $39,000.

Wright openly narrated instances of trash being pushed onto her property, tires being cut, and even a snake being hung from her window. Despite this, she remains steadfast in her resolve.
According to DailyMail, Irving then helped her by donating the money through her gofundme page.
As of Wednesday morning, the ongoing campaign has successfully raised an impressive $248,263. The ultimate goal is to raise $350,000. Emancipated slaves originally inhabited the 1.8-acre plot. It has been in Wright’s family’s hands since the Civil War. The property became more emotionally significant to her when Josephine Wright received the land as an inheritance from her deceased husband in 2012.
