Ever since the French baller, Victor Wembanyama found his way into the league, the surrounding hype hasn’t subsided. Eventually, he has become one of the most anticipated rookies in the upcoming season. Importantly, the hype is not only from his fans but also from the hoops community. The 7’4 baller indeed impressed the NBA world with his skills on the court – especially an NBA legend who went out of the way to fulfill his seven-year-old daughter’s strange wish.

This isn’t the first time where Wemby fulfilled the requests come on his way. During the Summer League 2023, fans had their first glimpse of the baller in a packed arena in Las Vegas. Even though the star’s game didn’t go well as he intended to, he didn’t fail to keep his fans happy.

In a video shared by Bleacher Report, one of the fans from the crowd requested an autograph, and Wemby immediately sent a brand-new autographed ball to the fan via security.

Let’s find out what a strange request he has fulfilled to keep the NBA legend’s daughter happy.

San Antonio Spurs star Victor Wembanyama is currently warming up for the upcoming season, just like every other player in the league. In hindsight, he might have an extra weight on his shoulder to carry, which is to fulfill the massive hype surrounding him. Wemby so far has had a decent outing in his two preseason games, scoring 20 and 23 points.

However, apart from fulfilling the hype with his performance, he was also kind enough to fulfill NBA legend Reggie Miller’s seven-year-old daughter’s wish.

6′ 7 Miller took to his Instagram handle and shared of him standing back-to-back with Wemby along with a heartwarming caption.

The caption read, “My MiniMe gave me specific instructions tonight, “Dad please stand back to back with Victor Wembanyama @wemby so I can see how short you look”.. To give clarity to y’all, I’m 6’7 #WembanyamaEraBegins.”

Miller also seemed to be anticipating Wemby’s domination on the court as he hints at it with a hashtag. The Indiana Pacers legend, on the other hand, built his own reputation with his shooting skills and clutch performance on several occasions in his career.

An NBA legend takes a dig at Wembanyama

Ahead of the season opener, ESPN dropped the Top 100 NBA players in the league right now. The list didn’t seem to impress Kenyon Martin – especially Wembanyama’s ranking.

During the latest episode of Gil’s Arenas, Martin expressed his displeasure about the list as the French baller was ranked above the former MVP, Russell Westbrook. Martin said, “You got two people on the list that ain’t played one f*****g NBA minute. how the fu** are they better than Russ?”
