“Not on AD”: Lakers Loyalists Defend Anthony Davis After 8X All-Star’s Admission on Loss

The Los Angeles Lakers’ 108-106 loss to the Minnesota Timberwolves has been creating quite a ruckus on social media. LeBron James, who played the Timberwolves on his 39th birthday, tried his best to win the game for himself and the team. Alas, it was bad officiating that gave the game away.

After the game, LeBron James was not happy with the game’s outcome. But Anthony Davis too was heavily disappointed in himself. This led fans to come to his aid, as many believed that AD gave his all.

Fans come to Anthony Davis’ aid

The 108-106 loss that the Los Angeles Lakers suffered at the hands of the Minnesota Timberwolves was disappointing as LBJ lost the game on his birthday. But what was even more disappointing was the bad review that changed the outcome of the game. 

After the matchup, James spoke to the media and voiced his concerns. While sitting in the locker room, The King spoke about how the officials got the call wrong even after reviewing it in the final seconds.

But it wasn’t just James who was upset. After the game, Anthony Davis said, “Anytime you lose, whether I play well or poorly, it always bothers me. You always think about, especially me, I missed two big free throws and we lose the game by two… You look back and think about what you could’ve done better.”

This led to Lakers loyalists coming to defend AD as he had an amazing performance in the game. One fan on X posted, “It’s not on AD but that’s a leadership answer right there.”

While another fan commented, “Nahh ad did everything he suppose to do. His teammates let him down.”

Given the performance in the game Davis had, the fans could not be more right in defending the eight-time All-Star.

Lakers fans may be in the right for this one

Anthony Davis went off for 33 points, 17 rebounds, 8 assists, 4 steals, and 2 blocks for the game. No wonder fans came to Davis’ rescue amid this Timberwolves loss.

One fan on X had this to say, “No one in double digits but you and Bron. This def not on you, bro.”

While another fan stated, “Appreciate the leadership but this one defo wasn’t his fault. Everyone outside of him and Bron could’ve done much better.”
