Not Just NBA Stint, LeBron James Has One Other Dream To Fulfil With 19YO Bronny

LeBron James has always acknowledged the fact that before he retires he wants to share the court with his eldest son, Bronny James. And with Bronny possibly entering the NBA Draft this year, there are high chances that we might get to see the father-son duo play together. However, apart from that, there is another dream that he wants to fulfill with his son off the court.

As the Akron Hammer has already dipped his toes in the entertainment industry and has a keen interest in expanding his entertainment ventures beyond the court, he wishes to make a docuseries with his son.

LeBron James wants to share the screen with Bronny

LeBron James has already dabbled in the entertainment industry, acting in TV series and films like Judd Apatow’s “Trainwreck”. His humorous timing and delivery shocked many, demonstrating his flexibility beyond the basketball court. Due to that, he wishes to do a docuseries alongside his son, Bronny, who presently plays basketball at the University of Southern California as they might play together this year and it might be the last chapter of his professional career.

He even aspires to become more active with SpringHill’s creative side after retirement and has already started taking steps in that direction. Every summer, James and his longtime friend and business partner, Maverick Carter, vacation with their families aboard a boat in the Mediterranean Sea. During these visits, the idea of making their version of HBO’s “Hard Knocks” comes up frequently. “Hard Knocks” is a popular HBO series that covers a new NFL team’s preseason training camp each year.

So, James, who is a passionate football fan, saw an opportunity to create a similar basketball show after the success of Netflix’s “Quarterback,” and with the NBA and Netflix on board, all he had to do was to find the right players to feature in the series. However, he was very skeptical about pursuing this idea because he thought it might affect his future documentary.

But his friend promised him that the NBA series would not prohibit them from making a documentary on his career. For that, they are pursuing the idea of the NBA series, which will include Jayson Tatum, Jimmy Butler, Domantas Sabonis, and Anthony Edwards in a collaboration between Omaha Productions and the Obamas’ Higher Ground Productions.

However, that is just the tip of the iceberg as James has set his sights on future acting opportunities, citing a wish to appear in a romantic comedy for his next film. So, as he expands his commercial empire and pursues new entertainment opportunities, James stays determined to make a lasting effect both on and off the court.
