A home game for the Philadelphia 76ers is always a special occasion for the players, who show out for their loyal fans. It was certainly no different when the Phoenix Suns visited, in a game in which the 76ers registered a comfortable 12-point win.??

While the Suns were battling in the absence of their star players, Devin Booker and Bradley Beal, Philly was attempting to integrate a potential replacement for James Harden into the role, Tyrese Maxey. It was an insightful match for the young guard, with just one year of contract with the Sixers.

With the match against the Suns, Tyrese Maxey left some of his potential unexplored according to his Head Coach. After registering a score of 22 points, 5 rebounds, and 10 assists, he still received some constructive feedback. When asked about how Tyrese played in the first half and about his thoughts on Maxey’s growth as a player, Nick Nurse seemed unsatisfied.

He said, ?It?s not enough. He is too good to have a quiet first half. He is got a not get into those moments where he is not more aggressive.? The coach made sure to mention that his views on the shooting guard were not just mere criticism. He added, ?I am just trying to keep him more employed?to be more aggressive. He is too good at beating people off the dribble, he?s too good a shooter to not take more chances.?

With speculations about classifying Tyrese as an All-Star player, one thing is clear: he is an elite-level shooter. With skills not resembling those of a traditional point guard, he is capable of shooting off the dribble and off the catch. These skills work as a positive thing for Joel Embiid, for sure, with his increased paint presence helping out on any potential missed shots. And today being his birthday, the 22-point score compliments the day. Tyrese Maey turned 23 today with a stellar performance on court. However, Maxey has something to worry about since he still doesn?t have the comfort of a full contract with Philly yet.

With these thoughts, Nick also mentioned that the team as a whole is manufacturing plays in such a way that Tyrese Maxey can play the aggressive game.
